Guía de transición
Cómo cambiar de sistema POS
A POS transition is an operations project, not only a hardware replacement. The plan should protect business data, preserve essential workflows, train employees, and leave enough time to test the new environment before the old system is retired.
Lo que debe saber
Orientación práctica para una decisión más clara.
Inventory the current setup
List devices, menus or items, users, customer data, gift cards, loyalty, reports, integrations, processing, contracts, network equipment, and open obligations.
Define the migration
Decide what can be exported, imported, rebuilt, archived, or manually verified, and identify any data that cannot transfer between platforms.
Run systems in parallel
When practical, keep the existing environment available during configuration, testing, training, and initial validation of the new system.
Control the cutover
Set a launch date, freeze late configuration changes, verify funding and reporting, assign support contacts, and keep a rollback or contingency procedure.

Preguntas de comerciantes
Preguntas frecuentes.
Can all POS data be transferred?
Not always. Export formats, ownership, integrations, platform compatibility, and data quality determine what can move. Preserve required historical reports before cancellation.
When should the old POS be canceled?
Usually after the new system has been tested, staff are trained, funding and reporting are confirmed, necessary records are saved, and contractual obligations are understood.
How can downtime be reduced?
Use a written migration plan, complete programming early, test devices and internet, train by role, stage equipment before launch, and schedule support during the cutover.
